Celebrate Constitution Day

On September 17, 1787, after nearly five months worth of assemblies to revise the Articles of Confederation, 42 of the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention gathered in Philadelphia to sign a new doctrine of political principles: the Constitution of the United States of America.

225 years later, our nation is still governed by the policies set forth by the founding fathers in the Constitution, with the addition of amendments that have been ratified throughout our country’s history.

Commemorate this monumental day in American history by attending the first Politics Forum event on Monday, September 17 from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. in the Library Auditorium.  NJ Assemblyman and TCNJ Political Science professor Reed Gusciora will be giving a lecture entitled, “Queer Eye for the Civil Rights Guy: Making the 14th Amendment Relevant Today.”

If you are on Twitter, please take a moment to follow @TCNJ_HSS.  If you would like to join in the discussion after this event, please tweet using the hashtag #PoliticsForum.

Hope to see you there!
