On Tuesday October 23rd, over forty TCNJ students participated in ‘The War of the Words.’ In an open forum, students assessed and argued over the relative power of concepts. “What is the more powerful concept? Safety or freedom? JFK or KFC? Forgiveness or Anger? Floor or Door?”
The prize for the most persuasive argument from an invited speaker went to Sean Modri (philosophy major) and the prize for the most persuasive argument from the floor went to Syndi Barish (biology major). The event was sponsored by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Philosophical Society, and the Parliamentary Debate Society.
