The current October 2012 issue of JGAPE (The Journal of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era, an important and highly selective journal in the field of American History) includes essays written by Dr. Rob McGreevey and Dr. Dan Crofts. It is an unusual coincidence to have two members of the same department featured in the same issue of the same national journal.
Dr. McGreevey’s article is entitled “Empire and Migration: Coastwise Shipping, National Status, and the Colonial Legal Origins of Puerto Rican Migration to the United States,” and Dr. Crofts’s article is entitled “Tracking Down ‘The Public Man’.”
