Dean’s Letter: Nov. 24, 2013

November 24, 2013

Dear Students

Thanksgiving is here already.  It seems like just yesterday we had sweltering late summer heat.  Time flies, I suppose, whether you’re having fun or writing 15-page papers.

As you make your plans to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, I urge you to savor not only the food, but also the time with people dear to you.  Cherish the moments, notice them, be fully present.  And be thankful for this time together (as well as for the work by all those who made the feast) because time flies.

Sincerely,

BR

Congratulations

Congratulations to Nick Macri, Eric Sawyer, Laurence Hochman, and one other student who has not yet confirmed we can congratulate him publicly, for winning top awards for TCNJ’s Model United Nations team while representing colombia at the University of Pennsylvania Model United Nations Conference.  Only the top 10% of each committee win awards and TCNJ won more awards than delegations from other institutions, such as Johns Hopskins, Princeton University, and Vanderbilt.

Congratulations to HSS students Zachary Ellis and Zachary Myshkoff who did well at a Debate Tournament at Fordham University and to Jared Meltzer who participated in the tournament as a judge.
