TODAY’S Events: The Beginning of International Education and Redefining Sex Weeks

Mon., Nov. 17     The first event of Redefining Sex Week (RSW) is “Condoms, Contraceptives and Plan B:  The Need to Know Information” at 12:30 pm in BSC 210 for an open Q&A with representatives of Planned Parenthood.

Mon., Nov. 17     1989 Series:  Screening of Czech film Kawasaki’s Rose (with subtitles) at 5:30 pm with post-film discussion led by Dr. Cynthia Paces (History)

Mon., Nov. 17     Engineering the Border:  Imagining America, a multi-media presentation and discussion with filmmaker, Alex Rivera, director of Sleep Dealer, at 7 pm in Education 212

Mon., Nov. 17     Networking Event akin to “Speed Dating” with international students at 8 pm in the Lions Den

Mon., Nov. 17     RSW:  At 8:30 pm, “Don’t be a Drag, Just be a Queen … or a King!” at 8:30 pm in the T/W lounge with a mini-drag show with a panel discussion with the performers, talking about sex and gender performance.
