These students were award winners at the Sigma Tau Delta Conference held last week in Albuquerque, NM. Sara Stammer (ENGA ’15; MA ’16) was elected to the national board of Sigma Tau Delta as Eastern Student Rep. Erin Shannon (ENGA and WGS ’16) won a first place conference paper prize for an essay on Latino/Native American lit. Stephanie Pilipshen (ENGT ’16) won a third place conference paper prize for her essay on American lit. Heba Jahama (ENGA ’16) won a second place conference paper prize for her essay on world lit. Andrew Ryan (ENGA ’16) won a second place conference paper prize for her essay on American lit. Robyn Gold (ENGT ’15; MA ’16) won an Eastern Regent scholarship.
