Experiential Learning

Ideas have the power to solve crucial problems and advance common interests. So do our students, as they integrate knowledge with hands-on experience outside the classroom. Our students have worked on arts education for inner-city teens, sustainability issues for a state agency, and crime pattern analysis for a local police department. Experiential learning contributes meaningfully to society while equipping students with the skills, values, and aptitudes of their chosen field.

All of our disciplines prioritize experiential learning, integrating it into courses and guiding each student toward the right opportunity. By engaging actively in other cultures and communities, our students learn to grapple with real social, cultural, and ethical issues while forming clear ideas about their own path to responsible citizenship.
