Approximately 25% of incoming freshmen enroll in the Open Option Program in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences .
Students will receive an Orientation Packet from the Orientation Committee
On their assigned registration day, students will meet with the HSS Assistant Dean, who will provide an overview of the program
The HSS Assistant Dean will also advise and assist students in the registration process and in the completion of their schedule
Prior to summer orientation, the HSS Assistant Dean will review and approve shopping cart entries and ask R&R staff to pre-register HSS Open Option students for HSS 99, Open Option orientation course, and other courses for the fall semester. Of course, schedules can be completed, and changes can be made, if needed, on the orientation day as well
