Approximately 35 incoming first-year students enroll in the Open Option Program in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences.
You will be enrolled in the Summer Orientation on-line experience by the Office of Student Transitions, which will provide information about the various forms/date required across campus. Please fill out the First Semester Worksheet carefully and select possible classes including First-Seminar Program choices.
Prior to HSS Orientation Day in July, the Associate Dean will review and approve your selections and work with Records & Registration to register you for Fall classes. You will be registered for SRP 099 (the Summer reading program), HSS 099 (the fall orientation course), a FSP course (based on your selections and course availability), and 3 additional courses selected from your First Semester Worksheet.
