Every year the School of Humanities and Social Sciences selects outstanding seniors in each major and in each minor that does not have a major for recognition for academic excellence in their chosen field. The group gathers together for an evening in which faculty who have mentored these students present their students with the award, telling stories about the students’ accomplishments. Family members are invited to this special celebration, which wraps up with some sweets and iced tea. This year’s celebration was held on Friday, October 24 in the Library Auditorium.
