Melissa Sandoval

Melissa is a dual major in Spanish and Secondary Education, the student Vice President for Community Relations, and a Bonner Community Scholar. Melissa is deeply committed to maintaining and improving bonds between TCNJ and our local communities of Ewing and Trenton. As a Bonner Scholar Melissa logs 300 hours a year in the community. She works as a Program Assistant and ESL instructor at Catholic Charities’ El Centro de Recursos para Familias in Trenton and has forged links between this organization and the TCNJ PRIDE mentoring program. Melissa also serves as mentor for the L.A.D.Y. mentoring program at Trenton High School West where she plans weekly enrichment sessions for ten female high school students and facilitates communication between the high school and TCNJ.
