Corinne Winters

Corinne Winters is an International Studies major and a WILL student with triple minors in Psychology, Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies and Spanish. In Spring 2017 Corinne participated in the TCNJ semester in Spain program in Alcalá de Henares, winning a prestigious Roebling Scholarship and a Phi Kappa Phi Student Research award to help fund her preliminary research for her senior thesis about Spanish immigration policy. Corinne became interested in the topic of immigration after participating in Dr. Shawn Wiley’s Social Psychology lab and taking a Latina literature course with Dr. Lisa Ortiz. In Spain Corinne researched Spanish immigration laws and conducted oral interviews with Latin American and Eastern European immigrants to compare and contrast the official laws with the day-to-day experience of immigrants in Spain. Corinne’s research project combines her multi-faceted interests in international law, Psychology, Spanish, and Women’s and Gender studies.
