We are excited to highlight one of our amazing students, Kiara Molina, for her recent internship at Kidsbridge! As noted by the Children’s Home Society of New Jersey, Kidsbridge [“provides] young people with a foundation to grow as empathetic individuals who become positive advocates for themselves and others, empowering them to challenge racism, bias, bullying, and other forms of discrimination.”
Kiara, a current senior (Located on the picture’s left), noted that the nonprofit helped her “[hone] skills in promoting empathy, inclusivity, and social-emotional development in children.” She co-developed the SEL & Math Literacy Kidsbridge Guide for teachers and gained valuable experience in math literacy, social-emotional learning (SEL), material creation, and lesson planning. Kiara reflected, “This incredible opportunity refined my abilities to create engaging educational programs and foster inclusive, empowering environments.”
At TCNJ’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences, we’re always proud of the positive impact our students make on the world. We hope Kiara continues to work to improve education, as she did during her internship with Kidsbridge. As the semester unfolds, we can’t wait to see what amazing things our students will accomplish next!
