Roane as he explores the vital intersections of Black ecologies and the climate, with a primary focus on the transformative work of writer June Jordan. This lecture serves as a powerful bridge between our core theme: Environmental Justice: The impact of climate on Black and Brown communities. Open to all campus members and the local community. About the Speaker. J.T. Roane is an assistant professor of Africana Studies and Geography at Rutgers University. His research sits at the forefront of geography and Africana studies, examining the historical and contemporary relationships between Black communities and their environments.
