Aging In Place: The Experiences of Older People In Prison – 3/18/26

Aging in Prison: The Experiences of Incarcerated Older People. Speaker: Dr. Maggie Leigey of Criminology at TCNJ. There are now more older people incarcerated in United States prisons than ever before. In this program, we will consider the causes and consequences of the dramatic increase of older people in prison, the many challenges they experience in the carceral environment, and reforms to address this increase and to treat system-involved older people with human dignity and justice. Location: Suzanne Patterson Building, 45 Stockton Street, Princeton, NJ 08540 and Zoom (Hybrid). Date: 3/18/26. Time: 4:00PM - 6:00PM. The event will be hosted at The Center for Modern Aging Princeton’s Suzanne Patterson Building (45 Stockton St., Princeton, NJ 08540) on March 18, 2026 at 4:00 PM in a Hybrid format, meaning attendees can come to the event either in person or over a dedicated Zoom Session.
