Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies Deptartment. Co-sponsors: World Languages and Cultures DepartmentWGSS’ featured speaker for the spring semester is Medhin Paolos, an Eritrean-Italian woman filmmaker, citizenship rights activist, electronic musician, and photographer. Paolos will screen Asmarina: Voices and Images of a Post-Colonial Heritage, a filmic exploration of Black Eritrean-Ethiopian identities, families, migration experiences, and lived realities in present-day Italy. After the screening, Paolos will do a Q&A session with audience members.
