Meet our fantastic HSS Peer Mentors for the 2013-2014 Academic Year!
Spanish Mentor:
Hannah Gallagher is a Spanish/Elementary Education major. She is a member of NJCF, TYC, Circle K, Spanish Club, Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society, and the Golden Key International Honor Society. Hannah is also the leader of two Spanish language conversation hours. She looks forward to meeting with any students interested in Spanish or those who are currently enrolled!
Philosophy Mentor:
Adam Cristofich is a Philosophy major from Bridgewater, New Jersey with an interest in metaphysics and the philosophy of language. In my spare time he serves on the board of the Philosophy club, works as an Office Assistant in the Philosophy Department and plays electric bass.
Political Science Mentor:
Dan Eliades is a Political Science major. Dan has a concentration in Law & Society as well as an Economics minor. He is the Chairman of the New Jersey College Republicans and the Treasurer for TCNJ Men’s Club Soccer.
History Mentor:
Melanie Stanek is a History liberal arts major with a minor in Holocaust and Genocide studies. Last fall she studied abroad in Israel and would love to talk to you about anything under the sun, history related or otherwise. Her office hours are Tuesdays from 2-4 pm in the SSB atrium or just email her!
Psychology Mentors:
Katharine Scott is a junior psychology major with a specialization in developmental psychology. She is interested in pursuing a Ph.D. program in psychology after her graduation.
Megan Stefaniak is a senior psychology major with a specialization in industrial organizational and a minor in business management. After graduation, she hopes to obtain her Master’s in I/O Psychology. On campus, Megan is an active member in both Alpha Phi Omega Community Service Fraternity and Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity.
Criminology Mentor:
Joseph Gilmore is a sophomore with a major in Criminology and a minor in Psychology. He is currently a member of the Criminology Student Association and Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society.
Women’s and Gender Studies Mentor:
Erin Shannon is a sophomore Women’s and Gender Studies and English Literature double major. She is involved in Women in Learning and Leadership (WILL), Triota honor society, Tri Sigma sorority, the Community Standards Board (CSB), and the Leadership Development Program (LDP), as well as being a college ambassador, and a mentor for the honors program. Her favorite color is pink, and her life ambition is to help America achieve gender equality.
History Mentor:
Jennifer Fraunberger is a junior History and Secondary Education Major, Classical Studies Minor and a member of the Honors Program. Her office hours are from 1-3 on Fridays in September and by email after those hours.
International Studies Mentor:
Anne-Sophie Gerald is a senior International Studies and Spanish double major and will be the peer mentor for this year in the International Studies major. So, if you have any concerns about study abroad, class scheduling for the major in PAWS, or planning for the years to come, come by and she’ll do her best to help. She has a concentration in Latin American Studies, and studied abroad at the University of San Andres in Buenos Aires, Argentina this past spring, so she’d be glad to talk about my experiences there or at TCNJ with you to help guide you on your own path.
Sociology Mentor:
Laura Magaw is a and Elementary Education major and a Bonner Scholar on campus. Her favorite part of her TCNJ experience so far has been her study abroad experience in Rome!
