Over the course of the summer, students participated in the Mentored Undergraduate Summer Experience (MUSE) program in which they “… [spent] eight weeks in residence at TCNJ during the summer, conducting research or engaging in creative activity in mentored collaboration with TCNJ faculty” as outlined on the program’s website. This summer, a number of HSS students conducted research with HSS staff from across disciplines— such as Criminology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies— on topics ranging from psychological distress in college students to international responses to genocide. Culminating their summer experiences was a poster presentation hosted in the Recreation Center this past Tuesday, September 9th, in which our students showcased their research to their peers and likeminded researchers.
The MUSE program is one of the many ways our brilliant students impact the world with their studies, preparing them for their futures and deepening their education. A round of applause for our HSS students for completing and presenting their summer research this year!
