I love music, I play four instruments! I'm a hardcore New York Giants, Knicks and Rangers fan. I love reading books about my historical interests, some of my faves are "Origins of the Urban Crisis" and "The Color of Law." I'm a huge coffee enthusiast--I grind and brew my own coffee too :)
New Jersey Christian Fellowship (President for AY 2024-2025), Phi Alpha Theta (History Honors Society), Student library worker in Printing and Design Services!
We have the best faculty! They deeply care about their students, whether a student from the past or in their class right now, they want you to succeed and will invest in you. I have built some amazing relationships with my professors here at TCNJ and truly consider them some of my closest mentors.
The third floor of the library! It was a hard choice between this and SSB. But I think the third floor is the perfect place especially to study if you sit on the side next to the big windows. On a sunny day, it's so nice to sit in the quiet with all the natural light shining in. Plus if you ever get a little hungry you can just pop down to the cafe and pick up your favorite coffee and snack before you get back to work!
Don't be afraid to make a bet on yourself! It can always be super intimidating to maybe ask a professor to do research, or to apply for that internship, or maybe even voice your ideas in a large group setting; but you are more than capable. And the little steps you take in your first year might just lead you on a path you never thought you would be on, but one that is fulfilling and exciting and filled with new opportunities.
