Stephanie Agresti, junior Communications Studies major and co-editor-in-chief of TCNJ’s branch of HerCampus.com, has been granted a $10,000 scholarship to continue her studies. According to Agresti, the program also comes with a social media internship at Scholastic, the well-known children’s book publishing company.

Here we here from our superb scholarship winner:
1] How did you find out about the scholarship?
I found out about the scholarship at a student career conference that New York Women in Communications Inc. hosts every November in New York City.  The organization offers about 18 different scholarships depending on your area of interest in the field of communications.  They encouraged all of us to apply and I thought, why not.
2] How does the internship portion fit in with your career goals? Where do you hope this opportunity takes you?
I am very excited to be a communications and social media intern at Scholastic this summer.  I hope to one day work in public relations and I feel that this internship will provide me with the skills I need to further my career.  My dream is to work in New York City at a larger size corporation and I’m thrilled to finally have that experience!
