Celebrating Excellence in Chinese Studies!

On April 23rd, 2025, seven outstanding students from The College of New Jersey were inducted into the National Collegiate Chinese Honor Society! As the website states, “The National Collegiate Chinese Honor Society, sponsored by the Chinese Language Teachers Association, USA (CLTA), is founded to recognize outstanding academic achievement of college students in learning Chinese as a second language, to encourage them to continue to study Chinese after they graduate from college, and to promote the study of Chinese language, literature, and culture in the United States.”

Sara Kuwar, Sarah Levin, Melanie Martinez, Maya McKelvey, Laila Moore, Anushka Pradhan, and Stenneth Winston Swaby were formally introduced, delivered heartfelt presentations, and received their official certificates of recognition into this prestigious society. Their hard work, dedication, and passion for the Chinese language and culture have truly set them apart.

Congratulations to this year’s honorees for this remarkable achievement! Your commitment to academic excellence and cross-cultural learning continues to inspire and show the importance of World Languages & Cultures.
